This is at the mouth of the Platte River in Benzie county close to sunset on an August evening looking down the beach to the east, away from the river. It’s an “effects” shot I suppose using a 10 stop neutral density filter which cuts out a lot of light. This means I use an exposure of 235 seconds to get a normal looking exposure. But the effect is that it blurs anything moving like the water which then appears silky smooth. This area of beach is part of the Sleeping Bear Dunes Lakeshore.
