I went up to Sleeping Bear Dune National Lakeshore and hiked up to Sleeping Bear Point for the late afternoon golden hour and the full moon rise on this perfect July day. This ended up being one of the more productive shooting sessions I've had. The clouds were soft and fluffy and a nice counterpoint to the dunegrass and the small blowout in the sand. It was cloudier to the south with a rain squall moving in but my location had ideal conditions. I was there to capture the moonrise over glen haven to the east and the colorful sunset to the west over Lake Michigan. This is looking the south east, panning south to the south west. This is an earlier shot for this session while setting up. The textures and contrast gave me reason to make a black and white conversion in Google Siver Efex Pro.
