A crisp, sunny and calm day at Otter Creek Beach (aka Aral Beach or Esch Road Beach) in February. Lake Michigan had not frozen this winter but the beach was covered in ice that forms as shelves by the water. The stream on the right side is Otter Creek as it flows to enter Lake Michigan. The creek changes direction frequently so it’s always a little different here each time I visit this part of the Sleeping Bear Dune National Lakeshore.
